The Command Centre - Everyone's Favourite

The “command centre” – named as such because we believe Abby secretly controls the house from it.

She loves the attached toys. We love that she can’t throw them overboard.

She loves that she can come with us to different rooms. We love that she is safe and sound and in our line of vision while we do a quick chore or even have a shower. It has been know to come into the bathroom when nap time and shower time don’t meet.

We love there is enough room to pop things like sippy cups on it. She loves occasionally having stuff to throw off it.

Mostly we all love how much fun she has bouncing up and down it – one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

The mini monkey is the best thing since the 70's

Hi, My wife Lija recently bought a Mini Monkey sling because she was advised not to lift anything heavier than the baby. I think this is by far the best product because it beats getting the stroller out the car. It can also be used until a child is two years old. The gentle rock the baby experiences whilst being in it puts them to sleep and it also converts into a hammock for when you go on holidays and don't have your cot. Alwyn photo 1569.

Easy to hold, grasp onto, pull, twist and wave around because she is is nice and light. 3. Teething miracle, especially at ten weeks. My little girl knew exactly what to do with her striaght away. 4. ... my Baby Bjorn! Top 10 reasons why I love my Baby Bjorn: 1. It makes going out with my little darling so convenient, without taking time to open/fold up or manoeuvre a heavy pram in small spaces. 2. My hands are free which makes shopping easy -all without having to keep an eye on the baby in the pram/trolley. 3. My baby's body heat helps me to stay warm during these chilly winter months 4. I can smell the sweet fragrance of my little boy when he is so close to me 5. I can tilt my head and give the little one a kiss on the head which he loves 6. My baby can face towards me and snuggle into sleep or he can face out and watch what is happening in the world and take in everything around him 7. My precious baby feels safe and secure in his Baby Bjorn and loves the rocking and swaying motion when I walk. 8. My husband enjoys using it too with our little one- it's easily adjustable and easy to throw into the washing machine to clean. 9. My darling enjoys seeing things from up high, making it easier for him to interact with people because he is nearer to their eye level. 10. I always know where my baby is! Bajo fish rattle

As soon as my little boy was able to grasp, he loved holding the smooth wooden Bajo fish rattle and shaking it to get the bell inside to tinkel. When he started teething, the fish tail went straight into his his mouth to sooth his aching gums. Simple design, yet beautiful and functional. (had lots of trouble uploading a photo, but I asure you it was very cute!)

My daughter Maya is a Treehouse fanatic! Not only does she have a new King Size Treehouse bed, she has all the matching accessories. Our favourite is the donut. Maya is now 3 and still sits and lies in her donut. There's nothing better than having your evening bottle of milk lying in the comfy donut and cuddling up to your favourite dolly before bedtime. Since she was a baby, this has been her comfort zone. Maya now has a baby brother called Bailey who also has a donut (blue, of course!)

What is the most adorable AND most useful item in our house? Definitely this minimink hat. Our daughter was born with not a hair on her head and, at 14 months old still hasn't any so she definitely needs a hat that will keep her warm but is stylish as well. This photo inspired me to poetry.... 'You are bald baby Ruby' the young(ish) mum said 'you've been waiting for hair all your life. So I bought you a Minimink hat for your head, but must you wear it all day and all night?' 'When I was born' the babe replied to her mum, 'I looked forward to growing a mane, but I'm 14 months old and still I have none, so I wear my hat time and again'

Milk Bar to the rescue

My son was in utero when he made enough money to buy his breastfeeding pillow, the MILK BAR. He loves to nurse and I love it because my back doesn't get strained. It was the best investment as the height is perfect for us to become well aligned so to speak. p.s. He earnt the money when I volunteered to have an ultrasound at a sonography conference. They paid the volunteers $100, the pillow was only $65 but the rest went on parking downtown! Lija (I tried uploading my photo image 1564)

My favourite product is the nifty little Tommee Tippee Fresh Food Feeder, the little mesh bag clips closed securely so bubby can eat all sorts of fresh fruits without the risk of choking. Strawberries are our favourite. Since my baby is now 13 months and has yet to cut a tooth, it has come in very handy for us and allowed her to enjoy all sorts of fresh foods.
