I had heard about this US series a while ago and now it will be screened here in Australia.  For those who haven't heard about this show, it is a observational documentary series on a Jon and Kate who have 8 children.  Twin girls and sextuplets. Basically the show covers the daily grind that Jon and Kate endure.

In the US they currently airing series 5 of Jon and Kate and without giving away spoilers, it has not all been a bed of roses.  Yet here it is for the whole world to see.

My immediate question was, how will the children cope when later in life when they realise their parent's dirty laundry was aired for all to see?  Over a 5 year span.

I don't know whether to watch this show or not?  While I'm curious about the medical side of carrying sextuplets and the logistics of caring for so many children, I really don't want to be sucked into the drama of it all.

This show has been Foxtel/Austar for some time now - on the Discovery Home and Health channel.. Season 5 has just started i think??

I have watched it a couple of times over the past few months, but never remember when its on.. Thankfully they keep most of the "dramas" for the entertainment news shows!! LOL

we live in a bit of a valley and dont get free to air tv so i am not sure if i am 100% right here... but from what i have heard it wasn't the actual series that was aired.. 

back before the series they did a documentary.. then a follow up one year later.. it did so well that they made the series.. apparently it was just the documentary that was on..
