Re: Re; Getting 20month old to eat

Hmm my daughter graizes alot during the day so mealtimes she probably wont' eat all of it, but she does love spag bol, tin spaghetti, some mixed vegies, 2 min noodles, corn on the cob.  Maybe if she trials a few different things and what I do is have a few things in a bowl.  Also sometimes when food starts going on the floor is a sign they probably aren't hungy anymore, ashlyn does this when she has had enough and wants to get out of the highcair.  Good luck!

Re: Re; Getting 20month old to eat

My 18mth old is in a habit of doing that for about the last few weeks. Ive tried giving him a 'big' fork or spoon and that doesnt help either. He wont have a bar of anyone feeding him either. He does eats bits and pieces though.

Maybe change her plate (the character printed ones)

Sorry dont have any advice, have got kinda the same probs..

Re: Re; Getting 20month old to eat

What kind of feeding routine does she have??  Is it just set meals or does she have alot of snacks??  Your granddaughter will not starve herself.. her survival instinct wont let that happen.. so she is obviously eating enough.. maybe she has too many options??  If you offer her 10 things, 9 will end up on the floor!!

Re: Re; Getting 20month old to eat

She has a set routine and no snacking in between times I do say that my daughter has their  main meal at lunch because of her husband shift working .I keep telling her she must be getting enough food or she will be wanting any food.My daughter now is getting my granddaughter to help prepare the meals and my granddaughter seems to be eating more especially when she helps out.the other day they were shredding carrot and she was eating it the same with cheese I told my daughter to becareful that she doesn't eat too much than she will not want to sit with them for a meal .I advised my daughter not to really worry things will turn out but to make certain that she always sits with them for all meals even if she throws it on the floor .Mind you the dog is putting on weight.
