FROM THE EDITOR

My Child magazine came about after I gave birth to my beautiful little boy, Duncan, in May 2004. My husband and I were both in our 40s and had given up on the idea of having children so Duncan really was a kind of miracle for us!

I’d been working in magazine publishing for almost 15 years and found that none of the parenting magazines available in the newsagents were my cup of tea.

I had also decided I wanted to be around as much as possible as a mum to Duncan and be there to experience his first steps and all those sweet (and often challenging) growing-up stages. But I also needed to work.

These factors, plus my wonderful husband’s amazing support, were what prompted me to start up my own magazine and website – from our home.

My Child is all-Australian and is a trusted, reassuring resource for parents. The magazine is designed to help get you through the stages of conception, pregnancy, birth, infancy and early childhood – and round again if you’re having more children!
