Dr Wendy Hawke is an obstetrician gynaecologist working in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. A native New Zealander, she completed her medical degree there in 1991 but moved to Sydney in 1994 to undertake her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology. She and her partner, another obstetrician gynaecologist, completed their specialist training in the UK in 2000 and 2001 before returning to Sydney to set up private practice together. They now “job share” their private practice as well as having some public hospital commitments at a large teaching hospital, and try and juggle this with managing family life with two young boys at home.
